The UC San Diego Startup Dashboard is designed to accelerate the discovery and commercialization of viable ventures stemming from UC San Diego’s innovation ecosystem. This comprehensive database of over 450 UC San Diego-powered startups gives you a bird’s eye view of all the companies that have been founded by UC San Diego alumni, faculty, and/or researchers, and/or those that utilize UC San Diego licenses, many of which have emerged from university innovation programs and funding. 

Built on an Airtable interface, this incredible tool allows investors, strategic partners, and campus collaborators to quickly filter and explore startups by critical factors like industry, stage of development, and founding year. Explore our vibrant startup ecosystem by: 

1. Accessing Filters: Find the "Filter" button at the top of the table view. This is where you can start refining your data based on key fields.
2. Choosing a Field to Filter By: Select a specific field (e.g., "Startup Name," "Industry," "Founding Year") that you want to filter.
3. Setting Filter Conditions: Once you select a field, you’ll be prompted to choose a condition for filtering (e.g., "is," "contains," "before"). Conditions help you define how to filter your data. For example, filtering by “Founding Year” where the condition is “before 2020” will show only startups founded before 2020.
4. Applying Multiple Filters: You can layer multiple filters to narrow down your results even further. For example, you could filter for startups in the “Healthcare” industry that are at the “Launch” stage, combining both conditions to view highly specific records.
5. Adjusting and Clearing Filters: If you want to adjust or remove a filter, simply return to the filter settings, modify the conditions, or "reset" the filter altogether to view the full set of records again.
