At the intersection of discovery and deployment, Anthony Reza Razavi leads the Life Sciences Innovation team at UC San Diego, bringing a rare combination of scientific expertise and commercialization experience. He has a diverse background as a scientist, business development and operations professional in pharmaceutical industry, startups and as a tech transfer and corporate partnership professional in academia. He worked previously at the Foundation Venture Capital Group, where he gained experience in the investment and management of Startups in the Life Sciences.

Located in the Entrepreneurship Center in Room 451, the Patent Studio is a curated environment built to inspire commercialization thinking. The patents on display aren’t random; they’re selected to spark ideas, challenge assumptions, and show what’s possible when innovation is protected and positioned effectively.
