This monthly series educates innovators and entrepreneurs on the various legal aspects of technology commercialization, company formation, and funding. In addition to staff and students, all community members and research institutions are welcome to participate in this free seminar series. Evening with an Entrepreneur features successful entrepreneurs from the greater San Diego innovation community and beyond. Speakers share their experiences, in failure and success, to enlighten and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs, arising from students, investigators, staff and the community. We also invite student and local startups to showcase their companies or products honing their skills in pitching their story in a supportive environment. This series is open to anyone, including students, staff and the community at large, providing a networking opportunity for everyone to explore their entrepreneurial interests.
IGNITE @ UC San Diego is an annual campuswide conference for innovators and entrepreneurs. The event brings together the campus community, creates conversations, and bridges gaps between disciplines to encourage a cohesive entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Inside Innovation is a new lecture series developed by the UC San Diego's Research Affairs Office of Innovation and Commercialization (OIC), to showcase the latest innovative technologies developed across UC San Diego. The series is held monthly at the Roth Auditorium of the Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine.
This forum provides a powerful venue for bringing together the general public, entrepreneurs, investors, and academics to engage and interact with UC San Diego researchers and OIC staff. This highly successful series leaves attendees expressing a strong interest in continuing their opportunity to engage with UC San Diego researchers.
Pitch competitions are an excellent opportunity for the presenter to give a verbal “business pitch” to an audience/panel of experienced entrepreneurs with the intention of securing funding to develop their idea further.
Ignite is UC San Diego’s flagship innovation conference for risk-takers, rule-breakers, and changemakers. The annual event connects campus and community for two days of jam-packed networking and entrepreneurial learning. This year the conference has three competitions: Pitch@Ignite, Entrepreneur challenge Elevator Pitch, Startup Battle, as well as two Showcases, a Demo Day and Startup Showcase.
