A faculty-to-faculty mentoring program that provides advice and mentoring for faculty interested in innovation and entrepreneurship. The volunteer network of mentors include faculty who have successfully navigated the commercialization process through the transfer of their technology to a third party or to their own startup company.
A collaboration between the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering and Rady School of Management, IGE is dedicated to training global technology leaders and transitioning university discoveries to the marketplace. The Institute provides hands on entrepreneurship education, leadership, and training through the Gordon Engineering Leadership Center and Path to Market Platforms program, which includes NSF-I-Corps training.
Launched in 2015 by OIC to support research based entrepreneurship, the EIRs are a team of highly experienced entrepreneurs working with the UC San Diego ecosystem to bring an abundance of real life "know how" to your startup project. Each EIR has expertise in a particular subject area and can help identify the market, build business models, advise on fundraising, and provide solutions to common challenges.
